This particular 1964 Dodge Polara is owned by a close business friend and trusts us to do general maintenance on this beautiful car. Equipped with a stroked big block and a beefed up automatic trans, this car has proven its worth on the dyno to the tune of 420rwhp. This is a street car and is driven as such, including duties as a ride to work a couple days a week. ICON Engineering was responsible for installing a new chrome 100A alternator, replacing the distributor cap and rotor, adding custom spark plug wires, installing a new fuel cell, and modifying the rear fuel lines. We also installed a new proportioning valve, master cylinder, and replaced numerous brake lines and fittings. The most eye appealing addition ICON made to this car was the completely polished aluminum cross ram intake manifold with dual Polished Edelbrock 600cfm carbs and custom bent polished stainless steel fuel lines and the painstaking process of inserting polished stainless steel expansion plugs in reversed. Below are pictures of the lines being bent on a spare 440 we have laying around and then the final product installed in the Polara. The end result speaks for itself and the owner now occasionally opens his hood.
