Car Craft Rambler

Anyone who reads Car Craft Magazine should recognize this particular car as their "CC Rambler" project car. This came to ICON for some simple work, including installing a drive shaft loop, fixing a severe transmission leak and more importantly, a rear suspension rebuild. The rear suspension was disassembled in short order and the new eye bushings were pressed in the front. The rear busings needed to be modified to fit along with the new shackles, however this was a minor job and the endeavor was completed in a couple hours. The car was then returned to the Car Craft staff to go test traction aids at the local drag strip.

NEWS: The CC Rambler has returned to ICON Engineering for more work to be done. This go-round is a transmission swap. The good old TF904 is being removed and we are installing a brand new Richmond 5-speed street overdrive transmission. The transmission is being installed with a McLeod hydraulic clutch set up, an experimental clutch set up, a Long Shifter, McLeod scatter shield, and other assorted goodies.  Watch out for another feature article in an upcoming Car Craft
