This 1968 Dodge Dart came into the shop with a 360 automatic combination and the owner wanted to install a big 440 with a 727 automatic. The 360 was removed from the engine bay and stored while the engine bay was vacant, it was cleaned and painted for a more presentable appearance. The 440 was built with a nice street combination in mind including Schumacher headers, MP camshaft, and edelbrock intake and carb. The transmission was ordered from TCI as well as a new torque converter. The K-frame was removed to make engine installation easier as anyone who has swapped a 440 into an A-body it is not a fun task. The engine and transmission were installed from under the car and actually made the installation a lot easier than expected. The electrical was buttoned up and a radiator was ordered. The radiator and driveshaft was installed and the car was taken by the owner to have the exhaust system installed.
