1969 Plymouth RoadRunner

This B-Body was seen at a local painting establishment; it just so happened that the manager of this facility was also the owner of the 1969 Road Runner. In the process of discussing the car, he voiced some concerns over engine noises and general lack of performance. Sure enough when the engine had an obvious problem, a rod knock. The car was transported to ICON Engineering and the entire front suspension was removed along with the engine and transmission for service. The engine was torn down and the remains were pretty impressive, every connecting rod and main bearing had been worn and two connecting rods were in reversed. This engine was also a race gas motor, so the owner requested a drop in compression for pump gas - Pulling the components out, it was realized the camshaft was the limiting factor in the engine combination, so it was changed when the engine was reassembled. The end result was a 440 street engine that runs on pump gas, can operate power brakes, and makes 556 hp and 591 lb-ft - making this 4-speed equipped car insanely fun to drive on the street.
