This 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger came to ICON on a hook. The car was purchased as a project car for a customer who had ICON do work on his 1966 Plymouth VIP but wants something new to play with. The Dart currently wears a nice coat of primer and has numerous small issues. The car is equipped with power brakes but the diaphragm has a tear, making it almost a hazard to drive. The transmission dipstick tube is leaking a great red river, marking the dart's new territory no doubt. The Dart does have its finer points however, The car does run and drive with a 340 small block 727 combo and is already home to an 8 3/4 differential with a decent selected gear. The car is complete and lacks very few interior parts which are not necessary as the owner has a rather nice plan for this car. The owner wants something faster than his VIP, and is not concerned with "correctness" so he is going to have ICON back-half the car, install a roll-cage and make this little dart a drag car. Engine choice has not been decided upon yet but rest assured it will be big and loud.
